Quick Take: Our Beloved Summer (2021). Starring Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi. 10/10. 16 episodes of 70 min.
Synopsis: Our Beloved Summer tells the story of Choi Ung and Kook Yeon-soo, who in high school starred in a documentary that paired the first-ranked student (her) with the last-ranked student (him). They fell in love and dated for five years. Now, five years after their break-up and ten years since high school, they are approached to film a follow-up documentary.
Review: A delightful show! It’s all about the casting! And the music. The OST features “Christmas Tree” by BTS’s V.

Notes:
Choi Woo-shik
is a Korean-Canadian actor who made his acting debut in 2011. He gained international attention first in the blockbuster zombie film Train to Busan (2016) and then in Parasite (2019). Parasite won the US Academy Award for Best Picture — the first foreign language film to do so.
Kim Sung-cheol
made his debut in musical theater in 2014, and his television debut in Prison Playbook in 2017. He tends to be second lead, but hopefully will have a chance to get the girl in future roles.
